Glow My House collects your name, contact details, ZIP code, house photo and lighting design only when you ask for installers, and shares them with up to three local installers you agree to. We process photos of houses, not faces. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
What information do we collect?
- Contact information: name, email address and phone number you enter.
- Location: your ZIP code, and the city, state and metro area we look up from it. We do not collect precise geolocation.
- House photo and design: the photo you upload, the lines you draw, your theme, budget, number of stories and chosen install window.
- Consent record: the exact consent text you accepted, the time and your IP address.
- Marketing source: campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) from the link that brought you to us.
- Usage data: page views and events measured with privacy-friendly analytics, and, only if you accept, advertising cookies.
How do we handle photos?
Your photo stays in your browser while you design. It leaves your device only if you request installers, or if you opt in to optional AI placement suggestions. We process photos of houses. We do not collect biometric identifiers, run face recognition or analyze faces. Please do not upload photos that show people or vehicle license plates. Submitted photos are kept in private storage and shown only through short-lived signed links.
Who do we share information with?
- Up to three local installers you agreed to, who may contact you by phone, text or email. Installers are independent businesses with their own privacy practices. If you are in an area without installers, we keep your request on a waitlist and do not share it until installers are available there.
- Service providers that run the site for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email) and Plausible (analytics). Optional: OpenAI (AI placement, only if you request it).
- Advertising partners (Meta), only if you accept advertising cookies. We send a conversion event that a request was submitted. Declining, or using Global Privacy Control, turns this off.
Do we sell your information?
Installers pay Glow My House for leads. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), disclosing your information to an installer at your direction, when you submit the request form and tick the consent box, is not treated as a sale. We do not otherwise sell your personal information and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
How long do we keep it?
Installer requests (contact details, photo, design and consent record) are deleted 365 days after submission, or sooner if you ask. Contact-form messages are deleted after 30 days. Analytics are aggregated and do not identify you.
How can I delete my information or use my privacy rights?
After you submit a request, the confirmation page gives you a one-time deletion key and a “Delete my request now” button. You can also use our contact form and choose “Privacy or deletion request”. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have the right to know, access, correct, delete and port their information, to opt out of targeted advertising and sales, and to appeal a refusal. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. We will confirm your identity using details you already gave us. We respond within 45 days. If you already shared your information with an installer, ask that installer directly as well.
Your Privacy Choices
Advertising cookies are off until you accept them in our cookie banner, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as a decline. Change your choice any time with the “Your privacy choices” link in the footer.
Security
Photos and records are stored in a private database. Installer links are unguessable and expire. No method of storage is perfectly secure.
